Entering Laguna Seca Race Weekend as a Strong Championship Contender
After winning back-to-back at my Formula 3 debut weekend at Thunderhill Raceway, I am currently leading the Formula Pro USA FR West Coast championship by 39 points. So far this season, I’ve been driving behind the wheel of the Exclusive Racing Ligier JS F3 car while under the support of World Speed Motorsports, who are celebrating 30 years of success within the California-based organization.
On May 28-30, we will be heading towards the world famous Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca for rounds 3 & 4, where I took pole & victory in Formula 4 at the end of 2019. This upcoming race weekend feels like a home field advantage, as I am also one of several racing instructors for Allen Berg Racing Schools, whose Formula Car classes operate at Laguna Seca as well.
I’m very much looking forward to coming back to one of my favorite tracks this month. Never in my wildest childhood dreams would I have thought that I’d be fighting for an F3 championship at a place that 5-year-old me believed only existed in Gran Turismo.
